Come and See! Anybody who likes to read is welcome to join this group. The Cumberland Book Club selects books to read and discuss each month. Rarely is there a book that all agree on, making conversations lively and interesting. The group meets monthly, usually on the 4th Sunday of the month. The discussions begin at 3:30 p.m. and generally last a little over an hour. The meeting place is the church conference room. The group began meeting in January 2002. A small group of ladies who enjoyed reading gathered to discuss the possibility of forming a book club. The group is not limited to women — and it’s not limited to church members. Anybody who wants to can join this monthly discussion group. The group generally chooses 3-6 books in advance. The books are an interesting mixture of genre and culture. Read our book list and see what you think! The upcoming books are listed to the left. |
