Janie thanks the capacity crowd after receiving a Bible from Habitat.  Above, Carolyn Snow made a presentation.

An emotional moment for Janie as she thanks everyone.

Mary Kathryn Kirkpatrick was home for a few days and had the opportunity to offer a blessing and a prayer for Janie’s house.

A friend from Janie’s church presented the Bible to her.

UPDATE MARCH 7

HABITAT HOUSE PROGRESSING

Al Davis reports that the current Habitat House under construction is moving along very well, in spite of all the inclement weather.  He is already looking ahead, stating that a lot has been selected for the next house, whose owner will require special access  and that will pose new challenges.  Our church provided  funding for the first Habitat House in Marshall as a part of our 150th celebration of CP Churches in Harrison County and has continued to be a strong supporter.  We look forward to a re-scheduling of the Choir Festival, which will be a fundraiser for Habitat.

Another house is being built for Habitat for Shirley Campbell next door to Janie.

Dedication will be April 18 at 3 p.m.
