WOMEN'S MINISTRY BEGINS NEW YEAR

“SHOW ME YOUR WAYS"

About twenty women gathered for the final meeting of Women’s Ministry for 2010-2011, with representation from all four circles.  Following a salad supper, the meeting was called to order by Jewell Bogue, retiring president.  Jenann Leslie gave an informative report on the Women's Ministry Convention held in Springfield, Mo. June 21-23 and introduced the theme for  year 2011-2012, '"Show Me Your Ways."  Theme scripture is Psalm 25:4-5 (NIV). Theme hymns are "Open My Eyes, That I May See", "He Leadeth Me", and "How Great Thou Art."  Jenann then installed new officers for 2011-2012.  They are Melissa Wilson, president;  TBA, president-elect; Teena Smith, secretary; Rose Mary Magrill, treasurer; Pat Odom, historian; and Jewell Bogue, past president.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY SUNDAY

Sunday, October 9, is Women's Ministry Sunday.  This year's theme is "Lord, Show Me Your Ways," based on Psalm 25:4-5.  Next week's worship service will be led by women who represent our church in many ways.  When Jesus walked upon this earth he was known as Rabbi or Teacher.  His teaching tools and methods were the stuff of everyday life - rocks, children, water, mustard seeds, farmers.  He was a storyteller extraordinaire.

This coming year there will be unlimited possibilities for growth and service for our Women's Ministry.  As we go deeper into God's word, we will be challenged to reach out further in ministry to a world that is hungry and seeking meaning.
